The lord of the ungrateful servant was angry. He had not implemented the cancellation of the debt to the point that it could not be reversed.
The Lord was angry with his servant. Ingratitude and attempts on the part to sinners to subvert the gospel and turn it into a means of committing further sin, make God very angry. It is his greatest gift, and if we use it to advance the cause of evil, we treat the gospel in the worst possible way. What else does God have to say to us? We show him that there is nothing that will touch our hearts or have the slightest good effect on us.
If you think you have repented, but you do not have a different character or life, you are not forgiven. God hasn’t heard you. There is something wrong. The heart and nature must be changed. The true convert becomes a man or woman of prayer. There is a new character and communion with God. If you are aware that you have not seen any such change within, then repent earnestly, and trust in Christ alone who made atonement for you and he will pardon you all your sin.
