Matthew 22:6 Commentary and Bible Study

The servants sent out to issue invitations to the webbing feast are abused, and even killed. Does this seem a farfetched element of the parable? Would those who were invited to the wedding of a king’s son really behave in this way? But it accurately describes how Israel treated her prophets and how the Messiah himself will be treated, and it pictures the hostility of unbelieving men and women throughout time to the gospel.
