If there is a dispute between believers in the Lord, Christian people, and it cannot be resolved, then because we are the Lord’s and he comes first, we are ready to accept arbitration in any seemingly unsolvable dispute. The casting of a lot was often adopted.
Now for us the meaning of this in a fellowship context is that of course, for the peace of the Lord’s house and for the sake of the Lord whom we serve, we will accept an arbitration in an argument. If the world accepts that on a lot, uncertain as that is, then how much more will believers accept it from a fair minded and impartial person settling the matter for them, and they agree to whatever that person says.
