Proverbs 2:22

The wicked who walk by sight appear to secure their place in this world even though they walk on the backs of the righteous. But what they thought was securely held in their hand will be snatched out of it and given to the righteous. The righteous always keep in mind that what seems to be the outcome of this world is not the final outcome. It will come as a great shock to the unbeliever when God’s judgment appears, for men assume that since they have got away with evil for so long, they will never be called to account, that God does not care or does not notice or does not have the power to do anything about it. It is beyond their understanding that his patience could wait so long before acting. They were allowed to take root for a short time before being uprooted forever, for only those who are in Christ will ever be approved.
