Another vital factor in sanctification is that we must be correctable, be open to correction. The wicked man does not want to feel any guilt or any shame.
That is what you have here. The Hebrew says, ‘stand’, ‘establishes’ maybe. He establishes his way, but ‘directeth his way’ is good. He is correctable, he listens. Even if someone is being hostile and speaking out of turn and says to you, the trouble with you is X, Y, Z, it is worth listening. They may just be right, or at least partially right. We are always ready to learn, always correctable.
