This proverb is similar to 22:2. It is about the essential equality of all men once transient earthly distinctions are set aside.
Let all come to God to be taught, and not say, ‘Religion is for those of another class. God would have dealt differently with me if he wanted me to have faith.’ Let the church of God gladly incorporate rich and poor, educated and uneducated, masters and servants, kings and serfs. All such distinctions are removed in the kingdom of heaven and an entirely new order will be established based on entirely different principles (Mark 9:35; 10:44).
