Proverbs 3:33 Commentary and Bible Study

God has all sorts of people to deal with on earth, and records the lives of each one in the greatest detail. How can any think that they have escaped his attention? No one who has any real concern to find wisdom would say, ‘I will behave as I like and God will still bless me.’ If we are serious about finding wisdom, finding God, finding salvation, then we must make conscience of our behaviour, we must care that sin has made such inroads into our being. We may not have the power to turn from sin without the help of God, but we should bend every power he gives us and every slight inclination we have towards him and his commandments. We should cry out to God to change us and heal our sins, and gives us a new heart, for the wicked heart we start life with will take us to everlasting punishment.
