Proverbs 31:18

Her conscience buoys her up and she is a person who is completely at peace with herself. She knows that she is accepted by God, and she knows she has served her husband and family with all her heart. She can reflect on the work she has done and what it has accomplished and she can be satisfied that under in the good hand of God, gain has come from it. That gain might be material, but it also comes in the form of many other things as well. She has treated those around her with fairness and kindness; she has been an example to her servants of hard work, and to her children who are being taught a philosophy for life that they will imitate to their own profit. She has shown her love for her husband by this work, and she has learned and advanced herself in learning many practical skills in this life. The servant of the Lord spreads light on the path wherever they go.Nor does she go off duty at night, for she is not a part time wife. She does not work according to contracted hours, but her life is given to her husband and her family. While she gets enough sleep – and every husband should guard his wife against making herself unwell by failing to rest enough – she is ready to rise at all hours to nurse infant babies, and to tend to sick children who look to a mother’s loving care, and to do other duties that arise. Husband and wife are true partners together in a grand project of raising the next generation, and they are heirs of life together.
