She does not really care what happens to you. You have sold out, you do not know what has happened to your sorrowing tender bride, she has had to go to her family, but your property has been lost.
Now, if we have not got this realisation that we are stewards, then we can never have wisdom. Why should the Lord give us wisdom? It is rather like you having the opportunity to invest in two companies. The one company is well run, the other company is run by people who do not seem to care about money. You are not going to put money into that. You are not going to invest in a badly-run business and pour good money after bad. And nor is the Lord going to infuse wisdom into your mind when your priorities are all wrong, when you are not bothered that you should be applying all that he gives you for him.
There are many Christians who have chosen to live on the edge of the line and their time and energies are swallowed up by the world. Even though they may be born again, you discover them to be very gullible and shallow Christians. The Lord has not given them a measure of wisdom because they will probably squander that too. They would probably squander it on their hobbies and their worldly things. So obviously we have got to have this sense of stewardship and who we belong to, if we would have wisdom.
