Proverbs 5:12 Commentary and Bible Study

Here there is another great application, another condition for wisdom. If we would have wisdom we must value discipline and learn from our mistakes. Do we? We make silly mistakes. We run into trouble and difficulty. We regret them for about three months and then we do them again. Wisdom means we will learn, I will learn from my mistakes. I will remember the problems I ran into because I did this and that. And it is only when I start to co-operate in that way with the discipline of the Lord that I shall deepen and benefit and grow in wisdom.
