Proverbs 5:5

The idea is that this has a lifelong effect on us. For the person who succumbs to the seduction of the adulteress, things will never be the same. There will always be complications, turmoil, misery, heartache. And so it is spiritually. As soon as we are yielded totally to this world, and we have rejected the things of God, then we are just tossed on the sea of life, endlessly, until final judgement comes.
