Proverbs 9:11 Commentary and Bible Study

‘Thy days shall be multiplied’ - which does not just mean that life will be longer. This is not speaking of an earthly blessing, as if a period of your life shall be extended many times. This is again an illustration, and the meaning is this: because of divine wisdom, with spiritual shrewdness, with your eyes opened to see your need of salvation, to see the weakness of human nature, the value of every day you live will be made infinitely greater. Each day will be made infinitely more precious, and effective. Each day will take on eternal significance. Whether long or short, my life will be a life of fruitfulness. And then of course it will extend into eternity.
