Proverbs 9:2 Commentary and Bible Study

A feast is a time of joy, but also feasts in ancient times invariably celebrated something to do with relationships, a wedding for example, or a feast at which a person became a ruler or a king, and brought in all the significant representatives of his subjects, and the celebration was a new union, a new relationship. Someone came of age, there it was again, but what was being signified was that person’s entry into adult society, and all the relationships that would be involved.
