Those same words which Christ spoke so often, ‘He who has ears to hear, let him hear!’, and which are solemnly repeated by the Spirit after each of the letters to the seven churches, are again given here. It will be too late to hear these words after a man has been deceived by the beast, after the end of the world, after the Saviour has returned to judge men.
If a prime minister and a government does away with any observance of the Lord’s day and opens everything up on the Lord’s day, and puts trade and commerce in first place – which has long been the case in all western nations – there will be a special and a severe judgement for that individual and for all who stood with him and legislated with him; because it is an attack on Christ, and an attack on the faith. Don’t you know, dear saints, that everything that is done against you for the faith’s sake, or will be done at any time; any measure taken against you will be singled out for special punishment by God. We are not vindictive people, but it encourages us in this way: God sees everything. He takes all these things so seriously. Every blow against us will be judged.
