God ashamed of his wrath against sin as some so-called Christians apparently are. They show they have no real love for righteousness, or they would hate wickedness, for the two things go hand in hand. Those who are ashamed of God’s anger have their own skewed view of his attributes, and have never known God or his Son, Jesus Christ. They have invented a god of their own who is a fiction. If someone suggests that the Bible teaches the eternal indignation of God towards all sin, they call such a God a monster and reveal their true feelings towards the God of the Bible. But the true believer admires God both for his grace and his mercy towards sinners, and in his opposition towards evil. He happily leaves in God’s hands the right to decide to whom he will show mercy and whom he will harden. He knows the incorrigible nature of sin, and the resolve with which it must be judged.
