It has happened already in our experience. Churches compromise, and before long the true believers are a little remnant in the church, grieving and sorrowing, and the church has lost its candlestick and its influence. That will happen in the west and throughout the world with all the churches that compromise in this way. It will soon be seen how far they have gone, and even now you hear it. You hear people say, ‘I went back to a church I used to be in years ago, and they have got the drums and the bands on the platform, and I think there is hardly anyone saved there now. There seems to be no concern for godly living, no concern for doctrine. The preaching from the pulpit is near to empty, and the church is going downhill, and soon it will be gone.’ That is the judgement of God. He will not have it. ‘Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly.’ It does not necessarily mean ‘soon’, it means more ‘readily’. Do not think that because you are my people I will not judge you. I will judge you readily if you offend me and disobey me.
