‘Bring Zenas the lawyer.’ Did they need a lawyer? No, that just identifies him. That was his background, his profession. ‘And Apollos’, the one who was mighty in the Scriptures. What a preacher was Apollos! ‘Bring Zenas and Apollos’ – they seem to be travelling together – ‘on their journey diligently [speedily].’ In other words, ‘Titus, if you don't mind, fund their journey as they pass through Crete. Make sure they are settled there adequately, and can preach there in Crete before they move on, and give them the wherewithal to carry on to the next location.’ They are acting as travelling evangelists. ‘That nothing be wanting unto them’, that they are not hindered or handicapped.
